Life of Pi - Spiritual interpretations Recently

Life of Pi - Spiritual interpretations Recently,

the children of our Gadadhar Abhyudaya Prakalpa and the Coaching Centre enjoyed a screening of the movie Life of Pi. While most of them were thrilled by the animated tiger, they still admired the courage of the boy who keeps it at bay.The rest of us discussed the spiritual allegories in the movie and came upon a few points:

* Pi = The higher mind - Buddhi
* The tiger, Richard Parker = Senses constantly attacking us.
* The boat = Human body with mind and senses (Pi and tiger)
* Life in the world = Big ocean/sea of problems
* Adrift at sea = The spiritual journey - Sadhana
* Carnivorous Island = Temporary bliss/visions/powers on which we may be tempted to stay forever.
* Determined Buddhi always keeps the senses at bay.
* Faith works.

Einstein and Chaplin

Einstein said to Chaplin: "What I most admire about your art is that you don't say a word, and the rest of the world understands you." "It is true", answered Chaplin, "but your glory is even greater. The whole world admires you, even though they don't understand a word of what you say!"
